LB pets week

Ladybug kids had a great week talking about pets! This week, they learned what pets are. They learned that pets are animals that we keep at home. We feed and take care of them!
Is dog a pet? Yes, it is!
Is cat a pet? Yes, it is!
Is lion a pet? No, it isn’t!
Is elephant a pet? No, it isn’t!
Is alligator a pet? No, it isn’t!
Is frog a pet? No, it isn’t!



They understood that they cannot keep big and wild animals at home! Elephants are too big to be kept at home.

We also read some books about pets! They loved them! LB kids listened to the stories quietly!


We also had an interesting sorting activity! LB kids learned that birds and hamsters eat sunflower seeds! They separated the sunflower seeds from the colorful rice grains and fed our stuffed pets!


We also made crafts that they could display and play at home!



Lastly, some mommies visited our school to read a story about setsubun! And LB kids made their own oni craft!



What a tiring but fun week!!

BB this week

BB Outer Space Week

BB started off this "Outer Space" week sorting the things they can see in the sky to a Blue sky and a Night sky.
For craft, we made rocket ships. Kids colored the rocket body and stuck it to a paper cup.
These rocket ships have a device that makes them blast off using another paper cups as a launcher.
Another crafts were painting the night sky and making our BB classroom moon.
We used the night sky painting as our background when we launched the rocket ships.
We also had a short PE session using balloons as rocket ships.They had a blast!

By the way, BB kids got confused that they thought they can see the clouds only during the day time.
But actually we can also see the clouds in the night sky.
It would be a good chance to take a time to see the clear night sky with your child and find clouds along with the moon and twinkling stars.

Busy bee this week

BB Christmas week

The last week of this term was all Christmassy!
Each one of us made our own Christmas tree which was fun and there was an another wow when we hanged the them on the wall. A big Christmas tree appeared.



The Santa Clause who came to our circle time was always forgetful that we had to tell him what he needs to be a perfect Santa. We also enjoyed Gingerbread Man matching game along with the story book.


Since we couldn't wait till a snowy day, each of us made a snowman.Aren't they all look good?


How did you find our Christmas present? Past two weeks, we enjoyed making those Christmas ornaments through our sensory play activities.


So…this is how we wrap up the last week of the second term.
